Monmouth County – Reconstruction of Bridge MN-34

County Route 527, on the Monmouth/Middlesex county border, was the site for the fast-paced Reconstruction of Bridge MN34 in Manalapan. Due to the heavily trafficked Route 527 and the adjacent Englishtown Auction Site, this Bridge Reconstruction Project was condensed to a 6-week completion schedule, necessitating around-the-clock construction efforts which included: Precast Bridge Abutments; Precast Box Beams; Precast Approach Slabs; Poured Concrete Deck; Steel Sheet Pilings and Grouted Riprap. Installation required logistical consideration of existing Multiple Utilities, including Water Mains, and the Reconstruction of Surrounding Roadways during winter.
