The Replacement of the dam on Helmetta Pond entailed the Installation of Steel Sheeting and a Concrete Cap along the entire length of Reinforced Grouted Riprap Slope. Additionally, the Construction of a Concrete Spillway and Concrete Abutments with an Operable Sluice Gate was topped with a Prefabricated Foot Bridge. Other improvements included Stabilized Stone Dust Aggregate walking trails and tree removal around the dam site to ensure future integrity of the structure. The final result was a structurally sound Dam and a scenic, park-like setting for the public to enjoy.
